St. Peter's Church, Llanbedr

This Blog is for updates on the progress of the work repairing and improving the church building.  The first phase has now got underway, and will include repairs to the roof and stonework, photovoltaic panels on the roof, improved disabled access, updating the electrics and lighting, installing a sound system and an exciting project making textile panels to show the history of the church and the people who have lived around it.  We would welcome volunteers to help with that part.

And now they're up. Here is one, but you'll have to come and look to find the others!

Very many, many thanks to Lisa for all her hard work on this, and to the army of stitchers who made it possible; and to Hope, who helped get them up.

It looks wonderful.

Fantastic - we've finished. On 19th March the Bishop of Swansea & Brecon is coming to license Chris as our Priest in Charge, and he will also bless the repaired organ, the new bell ropes, the new roof and Stitching Time, so we look forward to celebrating a very fruitful year (or two!).

Sadly Lisa can't be with us then, but we are really looking forward to celebrating with her in May, when Stitching Time will feature in the Crickhowell Open Studios exhibition. Meanwhile, very many thanks to everyone who has helped, with the biggest thanks, or course, to Lisa.

The floor, nearly as shiny as when it has just been polished
